Steve’s Story

Steve Hotra is a longtime singer/musician with with musical roots in Southern California, residing in the Pacific Northwest for 15 years, where he is active in the church community as a musical director and developer. His passion is to help students of all ages become better musicians. He is proficient at vocals, lead and rhythm guitars, mandolin, banjo, keyboards and sound mixing. He has over 40 years of gigging experience, with his main passion being gospel/ CCM with hints of Americana, country and rock/ folk influences. He has a BA in Communications from CSUF with an emphasis on music for radio, TV and film, plus a strong music theory background, which he incorporates in his lessons.
