Greg Leisz on pedal steel guitar
This is my latest musical goal: learn how to play a pedal steel guitar.
I started playing in June 2008.
I bought a used Rittenberry SD 10.
It was built in 2007, right here in the USA by Gary Rittenberry.
The wood is hard rock maple ( 13 years old )
The pickup is a Wallace True Tone.
I play with a BJS steel bar and use my POD X3L for effects.
It has three floor pedals and five knee levers.
Using the floor pedals and knee levers allows you to
produce various chord inversions.
I play into an Atomic Reactor 112-50 watt amp.
Its one of the best amps that goes well with guitar modelers.
I am currently playing the following guitars:
Taylor T5 thinline with a KOA top.
1983 Gibson ES 335 dot.
1999 Fender American Nashville Telecaster with a B -bender.
1973 BC Rich Acoustic guitar ( my 1st expensive guitar)
1974 Gibson J 45 deluxe acoustic guitar
Lyon & Healy Mandolin 1900's
Rittenberry SD 10 3x5 pedal steel guitar
I use the following keyboards:
Yamaha Motif ES 88 and Yamaha P120.
Guitar amp: Atomic Reactor 112-50
This song was written by Chris Tomlin. Its one of my all-time favorites and a theme for my life.
I multi- tracked all of the guitars. Had some background vocal help from some friends. Its part of a CD produced by Tom Lampkin, former MLB catcher.
One of Summit View's favorite worship songs.
My vocal, guitars and help from some friends!
A sample of my slide guitar playing along with my vocals.
Glass bar, Vox guitar amp sounds.
I played slide on an old no name Strat that I sold.
